Characteristics
A ghost is the spirit of a deceased person
Remains on earth through unfinished business (including revenge) or an unwillingness to move on (such as deceased serial killers who wish to continue their work)
Can manipulate electronic equiment to communicate via EVP (Electronic Voice Phenomenom)
Can cause energy fluctuations which can be identified with an EMF (Electromagnetic Field) meter
Wormwood is often associated with the dead who are not at rest and often grows around a spirits grave
Can be contacted through a seance or by using a spirit board (commonly known as a Ouiji board)
May leave traces of ectoplasm
A poltergeist is a spirit that moves things
Vulnerabilities
Rock Salt - Repels spirits but does not destroy them
Iron - Similar to Rock Salt, it repels spirits
Salting and Burning - Destroying the remains of a deceased person usually destroys the spirit
Hallowed Ground - Destroys evil spirits. Those that aren't evil can walk on hallowed ground.
